He is survived by: his wife Carol Buerger of Garber; his children, Denise Brady (Greg) of Edgewood, Melanie Buerger of Algonquin, Gwendolyn Buerger of Garber, Karl Buerger (Julie) of Farley and Brian Buerger of Newhall; and his sisters, Helen Ludeking of Waukon, Theresa Tremain (Jack) of Cedar Rapids and Ann Schaffer of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
