She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph and Rose Young (Klesel); her husband Alvin Huinker; her children, Barb Michaelsen and Jim Huinker; her daughter-in-law Candy Rand-Riley; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Oliver and Cooper Lins; her siblings, Don Young, Marge Becker (Alvin) and Evelyn Pavelka (James); and her siblings-in-law, DeEtta Hemesath (Alphonse), Leona Watt (James), Elberta Huinker, Gladys Elsbernd (Roger), Art Chizek, Paul Huinker (Georgina) and David Huinker.
She is survived by : her child Al's; her children-in-law, Larry Michaelsen of Waterloo and Conrae Huinker of Garner; her siblings, Paul Young (Margaret) of Garner and Lorraine Chizek of Britt; and her siblings-in-law, Jean Young of Garner, Martha Huinker of Ames and Dennis Huinker of Calmar. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Boniface Catholic Church, ALS Research, Gateway Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Dorothy.
