He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Young and Mary Young (Simper); his wife Shirlene Hestness of Patrick's Catholic Church; his siblings, Tony, Bob, Raym, Elmer and Mary Ann Stupka; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Stupka, Mary Young, Bonnie Young and Sandy Young.
He is survived by: his children, Dan of Des Moines, Leslie Tighe (Rich) of Knoxville, TN, Jean Klumpp (Mike) of Sioux Falls and Carole Haan (Bryan) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Allison Streeter (Nick), Jake Haan (Jessica), John Klumpp, Kyle Klumpp (Ali), Annie Klumpp (Gabe), Ellie Fitzgerald (Matt), Abigail Schroeder (Devin), Kathryn Tighe and Emily Tighe; his great grandchildren, McClain, Charli and Baby Streeter; his brothers, Carl Young (Dianne) and Dick Young; and his sisters-in-law, LoEtta and Mildred Young of Garner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Boniface Catholic Church or the Garner VFW Post 5515 in memory of Francis Young.
