With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce K. Dodd of Garner, Iowa, born in Lamberton, Minnesota, who passed away on September 28, 2023 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce K. Dodd to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Knute Stensland and Jennie Stensland (Housken); her former life partner Edwin Smith of Ames; her husband Floyd Dodd of Garner; her sisters, Hazel Beach and Herma Beach; and her stepdaughter Judy Snow.

She is survived by : her children, Ellen Duffy (Pete) of Garner, Carole Dodd (Ivan) of Garner and Gary Smith (Nancy) of Overland Park, KS; her stepdaughter Jerrie Palmer of Fresno, CA; her sister Fern Ostrem of Ames; and her grandchildren, Kelly McCumber (Dave) of Ankeny, Kerry Riordan (Brian) of Des Moines, Jodie Anderson (Jon) of Clear Lake, Eric Dodd (Melissa) of Grimes, Travis Clementsmith (Katinka) of Temecula, CA, Tara Leinbach (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS and Torry Smith of Aspen, CO. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the Garner Volunteer Ambulance Service in memory of Joyce.
