He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hefter and Ann Hefter (Loosen); and his son Erik Hefter. He is survived by: his siblings, Greg Hefter (Jan), Doug Hefter (Martha), Kay Kaun (Jay), June Ernst (Mark) and Julie Hamm (Mike); his nieces and nephews, West (Brittany), Nicholas Hefter (Kayla), Alexander, Jonathan Hamm, Lauren and Sarah Ernst; his great-nephew Renn Hefter; and his great-nieces, Alice, Quinn and Mavis Hefter. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
