He was predeceased by : his parents, Bert and Johannah Schoneman (Heimendinger); his wife Kaye of Mason City; and his siblings, Betty Brugman (Larry), Maynard Schoneman (Lora Mae), Bill Schoneman (Irene), Marion Schoneman (Polly) and Merlin Schoneman (June).

He is survived by : his grandsons, Matt, Brett and Kyle; his children, Greg Schoneman (Paula) of Garner, Kevin Schoneman (Roberta) of Coralville and Lisa Schoneman of Garner; his grandson Chad Schoneman of Garner; his children, Anthony, Colyn (Madison) and Matt Schoneman (Tanya) of Garner; his grandchildren, Alex, Cole, Gavin and Victoria; his son Brett Schoneman (Hollie) of Clear Lake; his grandchildren, Onika, Emerson and Adrian; his child Kyle Schoneman of Garner; his grandchildren, Berkley, Dylan and Cody Schoneman (Lindsey) of Clear Lake; his great grandchildren, Keira, Maci and Foster; and his brother-in-law Alfred Shaw, Jr. of Wayne, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Garner Volunteer Ambulance Service or MercyOne North Iowa Hospice.
