It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy J. Young of Garner, Iowa, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Anderson and Martha Anderson (Martens); her husband Bill Young of Joseph's Catholic Church; her siblings, Verna May Dobbertin (Myron), Henry Thompson, Helen Turbett (Lynn), Gerald Thompson (Marlys) and Mavis Fitzgerald (Pat); and her siblings-in-law, Leonard "Slim" Young (Donna) and Betty Lein (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, David Young (Roxie) of Hartselle, AL, Scott Young (Monica) of Garner, Lisa Watts (Mark) of New Sharon, IA, Gary Young (Amy) of Mason City and Brenda O'Hare (Tim) of Rushford, MN; her grandchildren, Christopher Young (Stephanie), Angela Simmons (Bo), Pamela Boyd (Charlie), Melissa Rizzo, April Brackin (Adam), Chase Suggs (Miranda), Amy Fitzgerald (Seth), Katie Butcher (Eric), Megan Meyers (Roman), Tressa Watts (Jace Bloomer), Samuel Watts (Regan), Caleb Young, Joseph Young, Austin O'Hare (Danielle), Bailey O'Hare and Luke O'Hare (Karissa); her sister Sharon De Maris of Mason City; and her sister-in-law Joyce Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
