He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Wood and Mary Wood (Sherbon); his brothers, Leo Wood, Jr., Steve, John and Dean Wood; and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Wood.
He is survived by: his children, Racine Dodd (Tom) of Garner and Grant Wood of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren, Carson, Kathleen, Marissa and Erica Dodd; his siblings, Wanda Kunzman of Mason City, Frank Wood of Mason City, David Wood (Denise) of Mason City, Jeanne Hefty of Conrad, IA, Alan Wood of Clear Lake, Rose Monson of Clear Lake, Charles Wood (Tina) of Webster, WI, Diana McCombe of Rushville, IL, Dale Wood (Missy) of Rockford, Paul Wood (Lori) of Clear Lake and Annie Wood of Mason City; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Wood of Albert Lea, MN and Anne Wood of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel (160 E 4th St, Garner, IA 50438).
