It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Ratliff of Garwin, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Ratliff and Merrl Ratliff (Whitmore); his brother Kurt Ratliff; and his mother-in-law Carley Luethje. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Luethje; his sons, Anthony "Tony" Ratliff (Jindi), Cory Ratliff (Heather) and Sean Ratliff (Tiffany Fouts); his grandchildren, Noah, Mykel, Angel, Jazyk, Zadyn and Kyzen; his great grandchild Kylo; his stepgrandchildren, Chance, Hunter, Kaylee, Aubrie and Paislee; his sisters, Carol Siemens (George) and Connie Jackson (LaVern); his father-in-law Allan Luethje; and his sister-in-law Sherri Goettsch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Mitchell Family Funeral Home - Marshalltown (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
