He is survived by: his wife Betty Arends of George, IA; his children, Michele Dirks (Travis) of George, IA, Clay Hansmann (Deb) of George, IA, Stacey Dizaye (Muayed) of Sioux Falls, SD and Blair Hansmann (Jennifer) of George, IA; his grandchildren, Allison Sandbeck (Brad) of George, IA, Andrea Dirks of Sheldon, IA, Erin Kosters (Derek) of Sioux Center, IA, Ethan Dirks (Coral) of Rochester, MN, Arya Murray (Brandon) of Pacific Grove, CA, Elizabeth McMahon (Dylan) of Watertown, SD, Matthew Hansmann and Johanna Hansmann of George, IA; and his great grandchildren, Elise, John, Isaiah, Katherine Sandbeck, Brogan, Blakely, Benton Kosters, Bjorn Dirks, Cameron, Soleen Murray and Bennett McMahon.
