He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Stubbe and Margaret Stubbe (Woelber); his wife Eva Stubbe; his daughter-in-law Alethea Stubbe; his siblings-in-law, Pauline Stubbe, Shirley Stubbe, Kenneth Klaahsen and Harvey J. Schmidt; and his nieces, Jan Stubbe and Marianne Groen.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim (Nicky Stubbe) and Jack Stubbe of George, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jonie Wagener (Kelly) of Waconia, Jackie Wagener (Eric) of Waconia, Jamie Peters (Doug) of Olathe, Kansas and Matthew Stubbe (Rachel) of Olathe, Kansas; his stepgrandchildren, Jane Acree of Fort Wayne and Mark Lammert of Minnetonka, Minnesota; and his siblings, Clarence Stubbe of George, Henry Stubbe of Vancouver, Washington and Kathryn Klaahsen of Sibley, Iowa. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the Herman and Eva Stubbe Scholarship Fund at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa.
