He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Luiken and Dorothy Luiken (Barker); his brother Kermit Luiken; and his granddaughter Nora Jane Nystrom. He is survived by: his sons, Fisher Control, DayCo and Friedley Olds; his wife Carolyn; his children, Sue Kappel (Brad) and Jeff Luiken; his stepchildren, Rob Hotopp (Rachel), Nate Hotopp (Cara) and Kendra Faris (Clay); his grandchildren, Lauryn Nystrom (Kory), Morgan Kappel, Braden Kappel (Jordan) and Caleb Luiken (Meg); his stepgrandchildren, Reagan, Amber, Cole Hotopp, Lilly, Layne Hotopp, Wyler and Everly Faris; his great grandchildren, Reverie Nystrom, Calvin, Addison, Oaklynn Kappel, Aubrey McNeece and Coy Luiken; and his brother David Luiken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
