He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hartman and Katherine Hartman (Breckunitch); his parents-in-law, Carl and Ruth Beyer; his siblings, Ronald Dean, Johnny, Donna Mae Bierman and Marilyn Jean Hunt; his brothers-in-law, Dennis and Larry Beyer; and his nephews, Scott Hunt and Todd Bierman.
He is survived by: his friends, Marlys, Jan Holsman Falkoff, Deb Miller and Gerry; his wife Marlys; his children, Daniel Carleton and Andrea Ruth; his pet Georgie; his brother David (Mary); his son Tim (Julie); his grandsons, Tanner and Colin; his daughter Audrey King (Bob); his grandchildren, Amanda and Dustin; his friend Jim Lester; and also Kent Mechler. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gilbert Lutheran Church (135 School St, Gilbert, IA 50105). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family while a fund is being established.
