John E. Reuter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Reuter of Gilbertville, Iowa, who passed away on July 8, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John E. Reuter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold William Reuter and Jeanne Helene Reuter (Steimel); his brother Paul Reuter; his brother-in-law Jerald Brettmann; and his niece Cheryl Reuter.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Reuter of Gilbertville; his children, Jason Reuter (Jennifer) of Jesup, Kelly Rosonke (Todd) of Jesup and Jackie White (Brian) of Independence, IA; his grandchildren, John (Breanne), Luke, Kaitlyn, Natalie, Kayla and Brielle; and his siblings, Janice Brettmann of Denver, IA and Ronald Reuter (Carol) of Waverly, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Funeral Home (1315 Main St, Jesup, IA 50648). A vigil service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (311 15th Ave, Gilbertville, IA 50634).
Memorials will be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Bosco System in Gilbertville and to other charities.
