With solemn reverence, we commemorate Kerry M. Van Winkle of Gilman, Iowa, whose life came to an end on October 1, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Winkle and Mildred Van Winkle; his wife Marty Van Winkle; his brother Rick Van Winkle; his parents-in-law, Leo and Jane Dublinske; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Handy and Marc Dublinske.
He is survived by: his children, Holly Van Winkle of Ames and Kris Vinson (Mike) of Roland; his grandchildren, Dana and Braden; his child Kyle Van Winkle (Jenna) of Ames; his grandchildren, Kruise, Riggins, Collins and Colbie; his sister Judy Handy of California; and his sibling's children, Cassie and Nick.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (102 S Main St, Roland, IA 50236). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kerry Van Winkle Field (1012 Broad St, Story City, IA 50248).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be directed toward establishing a scholarship fund for Roland-Story students, as well as supporting local.
