He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bruene and Ruth Ann Bruene (Kleen). He is survived by: his siblings, Marilou Wegner (Steve) of Platte City, Missouri, Leslie Holl (Bill) of Lake Ozark, Missouri, John Bruene (Deb) of Solon, Iowa, Jodi Day (Tom) of Eagan and Bengt Heggertveit of Oslo, Norway.; his pets, Mandy and Lucky; and his siblings' children, Zac, Corby Wegner, Mallory Walsh, Bryant Holl, Blake, Lucas, Maegan Bruene, Dylan and Andrew Day. He is also survived by 7 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alpha Gamma Rho Scholarship Fund or the Tama County Soil and Water Conservation District.
