She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Lewis and Louise Lewis (Ethrington); her son Jason Melton; her brothers, Marvin Lewis and Delbert Lewis; and her stepdaughter Christa Nosekabel.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Melton of Olympia, WA and Debbie Ellerbeck (Kyle) of Bellevue, NE; her brother Leon Lewis (Irene) of Council Bluffs, IA; and her stepchildren, Lisa Darnold (Mike) of Malvern, IA, Earl Nosekabel, Jr. (Karen Carnes) of Glenwood, Tracy Nosekabel (Lindsey) of Omaha, Jeff Nosekabel (Katie) of Huxley, IA and Michaela Aldredge (Jamie) of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives; and several special friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bloom Senior Center (20 N Vine St, Glenwood, IA 51534).
