In loving memory of Donald August Wiederin of Glidden, Iowa, who departed this world on July 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Donald August leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Wiederin and Marie Wiederin (Wernimont); his in-laws, Roy and Dorothy Fick; his siblings, Marvin Wiederin, Irwin Wiederin (Ruby) and Rosemary Harman; his sister-in-law LaVonne Peter (Alfred); his daughter Joleen Stork; and his grandson Tate Wenck.
He is survived by: his wife LuEtta Fick; his daughters, JoAnn Johnson (Brian) of Glidden, Cindy Klink (Randy) of Vail and Jackie Sward (Rick) of Monument, CO; his son-in-law Lynn Stork of Glidden; his brother Richard Wiederin (Linda) of San Jose, CA; and his in-laws, LeRoy Fick (Gloria) of Pleasant Hill, IA, Sharon Scharfenkamp (Paul) of Ames, IA, Marcia Wiederin of Coal Valley and Gordon Harman of Missouri. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church - Glidden (602 Dakota St, Glidden, IA 51443). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church - Glidden (602 Dakota St, Glidden, IA 51443). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Endow Glidden and may be left at the church.
