It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Hoffman of Glidden, Iowa, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward Hoffman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hoffman and Laura Hoffman (Riesberg); his grandsons, Dustin Hoffman and Dakota Hoffman; his sisters, Louetta Langel, Velma Hoffman and Rose Marie Sturm; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Rosonke, Dennis Danner and Virginia Hagemann.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Hoffman of Glidden; his children, Kevin Hoffman (Lisa) of Breda, Randy Hoffman (Terri) of Fort Dodge, Stan Hoffman (Cate) of Lidderdale, Connie Larson (Jeff) of Ankeny, Rhonda Snyder (Rick) of Granger, Brian Hoffman of Lidderdale, Dean Hoffman (Annmarie) of Ankeny, Jeff Hoffman (Janet) of Carroll, Craig Hoffman of Van Meter, Sheri Rodenkirk (Brian) of Ankeny, Tami Halverson (Mike) of Johnston and Carmen Pieper (Adam) of Polk City; his sisters, Adella Vogl (John), Alvera Rosonke and Laura Ann Danner; and his brothers-in-law, Hubert Hagemann and LaVern Langel. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (226 W 8th St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church – Our Lady of the Plains.
