Michael D. Mattis Obituary
We announce the death of Michael D. Mattis of Goose Lake, Iowa, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mattis and Catherine Mattis (Dennis); his brother John Mattis; and his sister-in-law Yvonne Mattis. He is survived by: his wife Judi Mattis of Goose Lake; his sons, Nick Mattis (Jill) of Horseheads and Jeff Mattis (Sharon) of Allen, Texas; his grandsons, Henry, Jacob, Joshua and John Mattis; and his siblings, Ann Hagen (Larry) of Britt, Barb Eenhuis (Larry) of Garner and Mark Mattis (Tina) of Torrington, Wyoming. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory (302 3rd Ave S, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1105 LaMetta Wynn Dr, Clinton, IA 52732).
