He is survived by: his wife Linda Brandes; his children, Nathan Brandes Gowrie (Brenda), Tim (Alexis) and Lora (Charles); his grandchildren, Chelsey Worrel (Glen), Anna Cottington (Ryan), Lily Brandes, Natalie Carman and Charlie Carman; his great grandchildren, Brantley Worrel, Lesley Worrel, Laci Cottington and Cade Cottington; and his sisters, Sheryl Brandes and Deanna Van Eps (John).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (1306 Market St, Gowrie, IA 50543). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
