He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hoffman and Mary Hoffman (Hackfort); his wife Marge; his children-in-law, Jerry Naber and Donna Hoffman; his grandsons, Jacob Hoffman and Desean Hoffman; and his brothers, Norbert, Joseph, Louis, Albert and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Hoffman of Spencer, Mary Barrick (Rick Reed) of Graettinger, LuVern Hoffman of Estherville, Darrell Hoffman (Tammy) of Spencer, Doug Hoffman (LeAnn) of Graettinger, Dean Hoffman (Teaner) of Graettinger, Carol Schany (Kelly) of Blair, NE, Danny Hoffman (Lisa) of Graettinger and Jeff Hoffman (Dawn) of Graettinger; and his sister Mary Ann Handlos. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (305 N Cameron Ave, Graettinger, IA 51301). A rosary was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 12:15 PM.
