With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deane Richard Cartwright of Grand Junction, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Deane had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Deane may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Forrest P. Cartwright and Eleanor E. Cartwright (Young); and his wife Maria Theresa Cartwright. He is also survived by his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at 1101 S Naco Hwy # 121, Bisbee, AZ 85603. A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (8 Old Douglas Rd, Bisbee, AZ 85603). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bisbee Church of the Nazarene (1145 AZ-92, Bisbee, AZ 85603). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (8 Old Douglas Rd, Bisbee, AZ 85603).
In the Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to the Bisbee Church of the Nazarene or a favorite charity of choice.
