He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hintz and Francis Hintz (Dodge); his son Chad; his partner Marty; his grandson Mitchell "Ertzy" Ertz; and his aunt Vivian "Auntie Sue" Dodge.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Hintz of Grand Mound; his grandchildren, Dylan Hintz, William Delever, Marlie Delever and Tonie Hintz; his great grandchild Evalynn Delever; his sister Susie Kuebrich (Chuck); and his former wife Mary Kae (Denahy). He is also survived by nephew and 2 nieces; Marty's 5 children, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Schultz Funeral Home (611 Fulton St, Grand Mound, IA 52751). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saints Philip and James Catholic Church (606 Fulton St, Grand Mound, IA 52751).
Memorials are suggested to the Grand Mound Volunteer Fire Department and the Grand Mound Community Club.
