We announce the death of Sharon Ihns of Grand Mound, Iowa, who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter L. Carr and Gladys M. Carr (Collister); her husband Roger R. Ihns; her former husband Michael McDevitt; her sister Mary B. Carr; her sister-in-law Joan Carr; and her in-laws, Roy and Ann Ihns.
She is survived by: her children, Michael McDevitt (Kimberly Scott) of DeWitt, John Ihns of Grand Mound, Sherri Brady (Robert) of Grand Mound and Angela Ihns of Clinton; her grandchildren, Brian Scott, Michael Hippler, Kevin Hipler (Brianna Green), Kara Mallinger (Zach), Kayanna Brady and Courtney Brady; her great grandchildren, Serenady, Audrea Brady, Lucas Litty, Clayton Mallinger, Melody Brady, Clayton Melvin, Mia Green, Chesney and Dane Oleson; and her siblings, Gerald Carr (Mary) of Clinton, Ed Carr (Patricia) of DeWitt, Charlie Carr (Dianne) of DeWitt, Randy Carr (Karil) of Davenport and Kathleen Shipler of DeWitt. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
