He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Burnett and Edith Burnett (Goodell); his son Tom; and his siblings, Jerry, Tom and Beverly Gersema.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle (Rowley); his daughter Gwen Rooney (Pat); his grandchildren, Dillon Burnett and Abby Engels (Dan); his great grandchildren, Hudson Engels and Harper Engels; his grandson Spencer Rooney (Jezzy); and his great grandchildren, Declan Rooney, Arianna Rooney, Bentley McCabe and Charlotte McCabe.
