With sadness, we share the passing of Cheryl Ringer of Greenfield, Iowa. Cheryl, born on September 24, 1947, passed away on August 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Payton and Pauline Payton (Christensen); and her husband Lloyd Andrew Ringer. She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Ringer (Pamela) of Creston, IA, James Ringer (Carol) of Littleton, CO and Kevin Ringer of Afton, IA.; her grandchildren, Calvin (Kyrianna), Jake, Korbyn and Kohl Ringer; her brother Gary Payton (Nancy); her brother-in-law Michael Ringer (Emily); and her cousin Cheryl Swanson (Louie). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, their families and her many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home - Greenfield (101 SE 4th St, Greenfield, IA 50849). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (213 NE Elm St, Greenfield, IA 50849).
