He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kreis and Louise Kreis; his children-in-law, Cyle Claflin and Ronda Kreis; and his great-grandparent Joseph Dennis Kreis.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Kreis of Grimes, Iowa and Kate Claflin of Urbandale, Iowa; his grandsons, Nate Kreis (Taylor) of Granger, Cameron and Caden Kreis of Grimes, Iowa; his sister Margy Helm (Gale) of Greenfield, Iowa; his nieces, Lori Miller (Mike) of Fontanelle Iowa and Lisa Chafa (Jimmy) of Liberty Center, Iowa; his great-nieces, Nicole Jimenez (Victor) of Urbandale and Tia Chafa of Des Moines, Iowa; and his great-nephew Sam Miller of Fontanelle, Iowa. He is also survived by many friends, family, and friends.
