He is survived by: his wife Verna Johnston of Greenfield; his children, Gale Johnston (Kally) of Greenfield and Marilea Devereaux (Jeff) of Ankeny; his daughter-in-law Gwen Johnston of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Benjamin Johnston (Angelique), Morgan Mund (Christopher), Angela Handy (Jason), Brooke Bissell (Jackson), Jennifer Shelley (Shaun), Lauren Meadows (Kyle), Adam Johnston and Trenton Devereaux (Whitney); his granddaughter-in-law Kathy Johnston; his great grandchildren, Lane Johnston, Audrey Johnston, Cora Johnston, Marshall Padilla, Aliyah Shelley, Syanne Handy, Kheera Handy, Beckett Bissell, Jayden Bissell, Chase Mund, Claire Mund, Grace Meadows, Gabrielle Meadows, Layla Meadows, Benson Devereaux, Saxton Devereaux and Phoenix Devereaux; his sisters, Wanda Lauer (Duane) and Iona Van Vleet (Richard); and his brother-in-law Francis Lane (Phyllis). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
