She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Strong and Bessie Strong (Stewart); her husband Bruce; her son Ed; her granddaughter Shelly Wheatly; her children-in-law, Roxanne Miller, Kenneth Gebbie, Sr., Mark Lundberg and Doug Campbell; her grandson-in-law Tim Wilson; her parents-in-law, Walter and Ocia Carl; her sister Vera; her brother-in-law Darwin Weaver; her brother Charles Strong; her siblings-in-law, Jim Wolfe and Lydia Strong; her sister Gladys; and her brother-in-law Arnold Christensen.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Carl of Fontanelle, Roger Carl of Stuart, Ronda Benge (Pat) of Greenfield, Sandy Lundberg of Des Moines, Linda Stewart (Eric) of Greenfield, Ruth Eilts (Marlo Smith) of Massena and Di Mensing (Bruce) of Greenfield; her daughter-in-law Mindee Thompson (Terry) of Greenfield; and her siblings, Don Strong (Pat) of Shreveport, LA, Marvin "Dean" Strong of Marion, Texas, Nadine Avey (Chuck) of Stuart, Margaret Wolfe of Marshalltown and Joyce Crabb of Coshocton, Ohio. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.

Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Kate Carl Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
