She was predeceased by: her father Alfred F.; her husband Gerald; her mother Grace; her stepmother Frieda; her sisters, Arlene and Ardyce; her daughter Elizabeth; her grandson Nicholas; and her great grandchild Adrian.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Armstrong (late Ann Brierton) of Des Moines, Gwen Johnston (Steve) of Greenfield and Greg Armstrong (Deana) of Winterset; her grandchildren, Angela Handy (Jason), Jennifer Shelley (Shaun), Ashley Zander (Max), Adam, Brittany, Sarah and Rachel; and her great grandchildren, Syanne, Kheera, Marshall and Aliyah.
Memorials: To the Phyllis Armstrong Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
