He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Giles and Doris Giles; and his wife Joyce Campbell Giles. He is survived by: his daughters, Katie Giles (Alex Van Gerpen) and Beth Giles (Tristan Miller); his girlfriend Cindy Haney; his daughters, Alli Rotert (Jared) and Kila Haney (Charlie Barry); his grandchildren, Bennett Van Gerpen and Sage Rotert; his uncle Merrill; and his aunt Joline Halter of Arizona.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Crown Point Community Center (6300 Pioneer Pkwy, Johnston, IA 50131).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the "Family of Chip Giles".
