He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hoffmeister and Mildred Hoffmeister. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Alice (Fuglsang); his son-in-law David Fuglsang; his grandchildren, Eva and Milo of Urbandale; his brother Malcolm; his sister-in-law Joyce; and his nieces and nephews, Jason and Christian.
