He is survived by: his wife Sandra Blau; his children, Steve Dorenkamp (Jan), Dan Dorenkamp and Kendra Borcherding (Andy); and his grandchildren, Addison Dorenkamp, Blake Dorenkamp, Dillon Dorenkamp, Charlie Dorenkamp, Olivia Borcherding and Reese Borcherding.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Home (111 Luick's Ln S, Belmond, IA 50421). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Reformed Church (214 Harriman St, Alexander, IA 50420). A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alexander Cemetery - Alexander.
