Roger Wayne Elwood Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Wayne Elwood of Grimes, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elwood and Ruth Elwood (Larson). He is survived by: his wife Norita; his children, Kathy Masten (Mark), Karla Hogan (Tom), Kevin Elwood (Julie) and Kim Elwood (Trudy); his stepchildren, Doug Gumm (Diane), Tim Gumm (Carol), Jeff Gumm (Sharon), Alan Gumm (Gayle) and Mary Issah (Habib); and his siblings, John Elwood (Sandra) and Beverly Rowland (Gordon Johnson). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Prairie Creek Church (801 W 1st St, Grimes, IA 50111). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
