He was predeceased by: his mothers, Else Dannen and Irene Dannen (Muhlenbruch); his in-laws, George "Tom" and Ruth "Irene" Hartwig; his brother Duane "Pete" Dannen; and his brothers-in-law, Mitchel Hartwig, Carl Burkhart and Paul Schulz.
He is survived by: his wife Leilani Lee Dannen; his son Ryan Dannen (Alison); his grandchildren, Aiden and Addison Dannen of Mason City, IA; his daughter Kiley Logan (Ben); his grandchildren, Brody and Lauren Logan of Grimes, IA.; his siblings, Sharon Burkhart, Linda Schulz and Vern Dannen (Jan); and his siblings-in-law, Max Hartwig (Gaylynn Ryan) and Rosalie Hartwig. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
