As Alice departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Alice may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Alice leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Mayo and Myra Mayo. She is survived by: her significant other John D. Breemer; her daughters, Andrea (Michael Frantz), Karen (Tim Whitaker) and Sarah (Mike Tobias); her granddaughter Hannah Frantz (Zach Theiler) of Washington, DC.; her siblings, John Mayo of Iowa City and Mary Mayo of Las Vegas; and her sister-in-law Susan Wickham of Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be directed to support the Drake Community Library or the Poweshiek Animal Shelter (PALS), both in Grinnell.
