Chance Lemke Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chance Lemke of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on December 10, 2025 at the age of 16. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Chance may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas James Lemke; his grandmother Tammy Lemke; and his great-grandparent Laurma Manatt. He is survived by: his mother Veronica Lea Lemke (Manatt); his stepfather Kyle Wilson of Grinnell; his brother Chase Lemke of Grinnell; and his grandparents, Ron, Patty Manatt of Malcom and Louise Lippman of Grinnell. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, adopted family and his close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to his family (please make checks payable to his mother, Veronica Wilson) and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
