It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eldon Snook of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Snook and Eva Snook (Tish); his former wife Ellie Snook; and his siblings, Frances Schillenger, Lucille Tish (Walt), Floyd Snook (Joan), Willis Snook (Phyllis), Edward Snook (Betty), Keith Snook, Gladys Arthur (Keith), Betty Van Dee (Marion) and Donald Snook.
He is survived by: his wife Reca Thompson Ahrens; his children, Christine Shaver (Greg), Michelle, Jason Snook (Molly Ray), Nicole Niedermann (Ron), Katie Neleman (Todd) and Mac Ahrens (April); his brother Roy Snook (Kathy); and his sister-in-law Pat (Marvin Evans). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Fire Department.
