He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Gaylord Kester and Mildred Maxine Kester (Grovenburg); his children, Ronnie Kester and Vicky Cox; his son-in-law Laurel Pollock; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Marvin Taylor; his brother David; his sister-in-law Irene Kester; his parents-in-law, John and Sophia Collum; and his siblings-in-law, Ambrose, Betty Collum, Bruce Collum, Irene Greer, Jack and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Kester of Grinnell; his daughters, Brenda Arment (Mike) of Grinnell and Shelly Pollock of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Curt Cox (Colette), Shawn Cox (Sam), Jennifer Tidman (Mike), Trent Arment (Jennifer), Travis Arment (Holly), Trisha Arment, Kelsey Bryan (Seth), Alea Slater and Bryton Pollock; his great grandchildren, Zach, Curtis, Connor, Avery, Madeline, Tori, Alec, Cain, Parker, Hunter, Abbie, Matt, Kate, Sam, Jaedyn, Leighton, Skylar, Harper, Reese, Maddox, Quinn, Noah and Brock; and his great great grandchildren, Weslynn, Silas and Sophia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
