She was predeceased by: her parents, Benton Cornelius and Mattie Buffington (Hobson); her husband Garland Simpson Lease; and her granddaughter Jennifer Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Leo Lease (Barb) of Grinnell, IA, Linda Millis (Paul) of Boone, IA and Lon Lease (Chris) of Euliss, TX; and her grandchildren, Lane Lease (Hilda) of Spring, TX, Lonn Lease of Grinnell, IA, Lynn Hassman (Justin) of Golden, CO, Laura Cameron of Anchorage, AK, Lisa Coles (Justin) of Haslet, TX and Larry Lease of Euliss, TX. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Grinnell United Methodist Church (916 5th Ave, Grinnell, IA 50112).
