He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Hall and Virginia Lee Hall (Householder); and his brothers, Billy Dalrymple, Donald McElroy Jr. and Richard McElroy.

He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Masters (McElroy) of Orlando and Susayne Horton (McElroy) of Sidney, IA; and his aunts, Donna Hall Aldaz of Shenandoah and Mary Keesis of Shenandoah. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
