She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Mahlstedt and Isabella Mahlstedt (Rohrssen); her sister Sarah Burk (Larry); her brother-in-law Joel Seegers; and her daughter-in-law Courtney McDonough.

She is survived by: her husband Howard McDonough; her sons, Brian McDonough (Eva) of Lincoln, VT, Scott McDonough (Lisa) of Iowa City, IA, Kyle McDonough of Minnetrista, MN and Bradley McDonough (Tonya) of Solon, IA; her sister Charlotte Seegers of Central City; her grandchildren, Jacob (Kira), Conor (Chandler), Mae, Walter, Ruby, Kalin and Maxwell McDonough; and her great grandchildren, Ailia and Maren McDonough.
