We announce the death of Thomas E. Hollopeter of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hollopeter and Jo Ann Hollopeter (Walton); his brother Tim Hollopeter; and his in-laws, Stanley and Kay Walford.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Hollopeter; his daughters, Heather Hollopeter, Lisa Hollopeter (Aaron Vann) and Amy Arens (Nick); his grandchildren, Chryton, Graydon and Daxtyn; and his siblings-in-law, RaeJean Hollopeter, Debra Walford, Mary Ohler (Lee), Jennifer Bidler, David Walford (Anne) and Mark Walford (Joan). He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews, and numerous great nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (605 Jackson St, Brooklyn, IA 52211).
