It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veronica Guthrie of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Morell-Varnum and Lumilla Morell-Varnum (Millie); her siblings, Fred Varnum (Agatha), Mary Elizabeth Varnum, Kate White (Floyd "Bud"), Martha Garfield (Richard "Dick") and Richard "Dick" Noel; and her sister-in-law Jeannine Thon (Leonard "Bud").
She is survived by : her children, James III, Jason (Tassy) of Grinnell, John Guthrie (Traci) of Kellogg, Jennifer Young (Kenny) of Framingham, MA and Julie Kingery (Eric) of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Rachel Doran (Nate), Jimmy Guthrie (Sydney), Natalie Guthrie-Hill (Brandon Hill), Matthew Guthrie, Mitchell Kingery and Kaylyn Kingery; her great grandchildren, Fayeanna Guthrie, Ellieane Hill, Lennon Doran and Dehl Guthrie; and her siblings, John Varnum (Roberta), Alma Noel and Harvey Varnum (Sherri). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
