She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Albert and Adele Wilhelmina Maxton (Obrock); her husband Victor L. Graden; and her brother Ralph. She is survived by: her children, Roger Graden (Julie) of Ames, IA, Barry Graden (Lela) of Simpsonville, SC and Lori Graden Lockhart of Iowa City, IA; her grandchildren, Ryan Graden (Kristin) of Dayton, IA, Sarah Lanz (Levi) of Melissa, TX, David Graden (Heidi) of Duncan, SC, Kristin Weeks (Ben) of Lake Wylie, SC, Keegan Lockhart (Kelsey) of Iowa City, IA and Kyle Lockhart of Manchester, NH; and her sister Ruth of Picayune, MS.. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Formerly Buckley Dining Hall (619 Park St, Grinnell, IA 50112). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Salem Cemetery (4130-4464 Co Rd 318, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elks Lodge #639 (639 Elk Ln, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to the Mayflower Residents Assistance Fund mailed in c/o Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.

“I taught with Wilma for many years at Bettendorf Middle School. I also worked with her in Outdoor Education Programs, including 7th grade Winter Camp and 6th Grade Spring Camp.
