It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mabel M. Bockes of Grundy Center, Iowa, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wesley Mooty and Viola Mooty (Wood); her husband Leon; and her brothers, Harold and Bob Mooty.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Gunn (Rich), Karen Knust, Kevin Bockes (Amy) and Kent Bockes (Dominica); and her siblings, Don Mooty, Mary Schmidt and Joan Schroeder. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.
