He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Flanery and Ruth Flanery; his brothers, Michael Flanery and Tim Sommars; his uncles, Robert and Dean Flanery; and his nephew Eli Reed.

He is survived by : his sisters, Carol Jennings and Kimberly Flanery-Rye; and his children, Judden Flanery (Samantha), Ashley Flanery (Austin) and Erica Flanery.
