He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bohlender and Thelma Bohlender (Lundstrom); his daughter Deborah Rosenbeck; his stepson John Schreck; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Larry Billick; his brother Charles J. Bohlender; his parents-in-law, John and Dardy Werner; and his brothers-in-law, John and Mark Werner.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Schreck (Werner); his children, Cindy Blass (Steve) of Coon Rapids and Rod Bohlender (Tracy) of Polk City; and his stepchildren, Doug Schreck (Holly) of Clive, Kevin Schreck (Marcie) of Guthrie Center and Sheila Dickey (Clint) of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
