He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Behrend and Ida Mae Behrend (Heins); his sister Patricia Loukota (Walt) of Cedar Rapids; his nephew Ryan Loukota of Urbana, IA; and his niece Kristen Loukota of Cedar Rapids.
Memorials given to the family will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
